Dressed bra increases the risk of women developing breast cancer? It may seem silly, but for the last 8 years the debate has developed a number of researchers, doctors and the American Cancer Society, concerning the suspected link between breast cancer and bras.
SIDE ONE: In 1995, Sydney Ross Singer, a medical researcher and his wife, Grismaijer Soma, published in the book “dressed in the murder: the link between breast cancer and approved.” The study was called in 1991, when Grismaijer discovered a lump in her breast during the the first months of pregnancy. This leads to a pair of 30-month quest for the accumulation of all available information on known risk factors associated with breast cancer. The book presented the results of their study of 4700 women in 5 cities of the organization of the State relating to wear a bra habits and rates of breast cancer gland.
Some of their key findings include:
* breast cancer reported in 3 out of 4 women, who wore a bra for 24 hours each day.
* Among women who do not wear a bra to sleep, but were dressed in period of 12 hours a day, one of seven developed breast cancer.
* The rate dropped to 1 in 152 for women, wearing their bra less than 12 hours each day.
* Of those who rarely or never wore BRA, 1 in 168 developed breast cancer, the same statistics for men.
Singer and Grismaijer noted that the difference between wearing a bra and not a constant wearing a bra at all 125-fold. Considering that only 25% of breast cancer associated with established risk factors, which left 75% of cases unexplained. The couple also compared to not wearing a bra, Aboriginal cultures with “Westernized” nations, and showed that those who do not wear bras have almost no cases of breast cancer.
According to the World Health Organization, chemical toxins are the leading cause of cancer. Singer believes the pressure of the bra decreased lymphatic vessels in the chest, restricting their ability to properly clean up toxic substances and wastes away. Cells breast become depleted of oxygen and nutrients, as the lymph valves and vessels are closed. Decades of wearing a bra can disrupt the normal functioning of the lymphatic drainage and the accumulation of results in cancer.
Singer compared the ancient Chinese custom of foot binding in young girls, for “coming of age” ritual in the west, usually celebrated by getting your first bra. It is information, called the act as “binding breast” and argues that constricting chest at puberty can lead to medical complications in the future.
